Kuktelionis spent two years in Germany as an Arm.y field communications specialist before being sent to Vietnam in January 1966 and be-jug assigned to B Battery of the 2nd Battalion, 33rd Artillery, as a senior switchboard operator. The 22-year-old specialist four died on July 7, 1966. Survivors include his wife.
