"Billy" Brown was a happy-go-lucky young man. "Nothing was ever too much for him to do," remembers his mother. Brown was born while his father was in the Navy Seabees at the end of World War II. Brown also became a Marine, enlisting shortly after graduating from Father Judge High School in 1962. He reenlisted because he believed strongly that the United States should be in Vietnam. The 21-year-old sergeant, the chief clerk of Company K, 3rd Battalion, 9th Marines, 3rd Marine Di-vision, died near Doug Ha, Quang Tn Provinca, on May 20, 1967. He was survived by his parents, a brother and two sisters
